We work closely with loved ones to provide open communication, reassurance, and a shared understanding of care approaches.

Challenging Behaviour Care
Challenging Behaviour Care

Stockton Lodge has two units dedicated for individuals with challenging behaviour, one male and one mixed. Each unit has its own lounge/dining room area where residents are safe but able to undertake activities (group or 1:1). Within the male unit we also have a small outside courtyard where the residents can spend time gardening or enjoying the local sea air. All residents with challenging behaviours have their own rooms, which can be decorated to their liking with goods from home used to settle them in. Rooms are available with or without en-suites, those without share a spacious bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower/wet suite.

Dementia Nursing Care

We have a specialist dementia nursing unit at Denehurst Nursing home.

At Stockton Lodge, we also provide dementia nursing care within our mixed residential and nursing unit. Within this unit we take residents referral from initial stages of Dementia to advanced complex needs with challenging behaviours.

We understand that dementia affects everyone differently, so we deliver support that is personal, dignified and reassuring every step of the way.

Why professionals and families choose dementia care at Seaham Care Ltd- Our team is trained in dementia awareness, communication techniques and managing behaviours that challenge. We provide 24/7 nursing care for those with complex physical and mental health needs, including those requiring end of life support.

General Nursing Care

We also offer general nursing beds, these beds are within the mixed nursing and residential unit and are well staffed by nursing and health care staff that are well trained in safeguarding, infection control, manual handling, and person-centred practice amongst others. We provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care for adults with a wide range of health needs. Our staff provide 24/7 nursing support with an experienced registered nurse on site day and night, delivering round-the-clock clinical care.

This includes supporting individuals with complex needs, wound care, peg feeding, catheter, and stoma care and more. From short-term respite to long-term nursing care, we are happy to provide expert support for your loved one.

Residential Care

Stockton Lodge features a spacious residential unit that accommodates a diverse group of older adults, both male and female. The unit provides compassionate residential care tailored to support residents with their daily living needs. Our approach is centred on fostering a safe, comfortable, and homely environment, enabling residents to feel at ease while benefiting from dedicated assistance whenever required.

We welcome both privately funded and non-privately funded residents, offering a range of room options to suit individual preferences. Accommodation includes rooms with en-suite facilities as well as those with shared bathroom and shower suites.

The residential unit is complemented by a welcoming lounge area with a cosy reading nook, providing an inviting space for relaxation.
