Stockton Lodge has two units dedicated for individuals with challenging behaviour, one male and one mixed. Each unit has its own lounge/dining room area where residents are safe but able to undertake activities (group or 1:1). Within the male unit we also have a small outside courtyard where the residents can spend time gardening or enjoying the local sea air. All residents with challenging behaviours have their own rooms, which can be decorated to their liking with goods from home used to settle them in. Rooms are available with or without en-suites, those without share a spacious bathroom with a bath and walk-in shower/wet suite.
We have a specialist dementia nursing unit at Denehurst Nursing home.
At Stockton Lodge, we also provide dementia nursing care within our mixed residential and nursing unit. Within this unit we take residents referral from initial stages of Dementia to advanced complex needs with challenging behaviours.
We understand that dementia affects everyone differently, so we deliver support that is personal, dignified and reassuring every step of the way.
